Hands of Mercy was established in as an Israeli non-profit, humanitarian aid outreach organization for the purpose of providing comfort and support to the many injured soldiers and victims of terror living throughout Israel. For legal purposes, Hands of Mercy is registered in Israel as a humanitarian organization, the same in Norway, and in America as a non-profit, C3 organization. See following details. The initial home of Hands of Mercy was in Jerusalem for nearly seven years. We were assisting victim families throughout the country during events of suicide terrorism and war.
We currently have sign ups going on for our Thanksgiving Baskets and Lighthouse Christmas! If you attend Lighthouse and would like to help with either, please see the "Get Involved" tab on our homepage. Please keep in mind we are also in need of families to bless with both of these outreach opportunities. If you know of anyone who would be blessed by this, please contact Spring. Hands of Mercy exists to provide an intentional way our people can love others in our community, region, and to the ends of the earth. This ministry began when a family in our community had a need and our church was able to respond to meet that need. From there, the vision was cast for us to have a place where we could be proactive in meeting needs rather than reactive. Hands of Mercy was born and God has given us many opportunities to serve the real needs of people as a result.

He could have really benefited from the support of a hospice caregiving team. Hospice is not a place, rather a philosophy of care. Hospice care occurs wherever a patient calls home, including, but not limited to, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, independent living facilities, and personal homes. We weren't considering hospice for dad because we thought it was too expensive. Between the doctor's visits and the cost of medications today, we have to save everything we can to make sure we can care for his ongoing needs.
